Catfish, Christmas Trees, and Constitutions; A Practicum on Georgia Politics

Session 1: January 10 – February 26, 2018

Wednesday, 6:00 – 7:00 PM 

A brief look at the Georgia political ecosystem. The course will review and refresh basic political and civic design and function and then delve into the practical application of politics in Georgia. The course will examine the roles and practices of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches. We will focus on the Legislative Branch as a point of political access and engagement. Finally, the course will look at politics through the lens of campaigns and political parties. The course will aim to be interactive and discussion-oriented.
